Financial Appeal Letter Please proofread
Sunday, June 21st, 2009ar Financial Aid Appeal Committee:
I am writing this letter to appeal my suspension of Federal Aid. The Spring semester
was very stressful and overwhelming time in my life because one of my son start experiencing
symptoms like difficulty breathing, bluish color to his lips and decreased level of alertness. It was a
very scary time for me. It was very hard for me not knowing what was wrong with my son and trying to
make sure my other six children would be seen after while I took care of him. My son was diagnosed
with asthma and was having severe attacks. It was very difficult for me to concentrate and do well in
my classes when I had to put my family ahead of myself.
I do realize that I neglected my studies and I would like another chance to do better in
them. Myself, my sons Pediatrician and his allergist are working together as a team to develop a plan
to eliminate asthma triggers and he is on long term control medications. I have compiled a list of steps
I also need to take in order to be successful in school:
1.I will obtain a tutor for my most difficult classes.
2.I will talk to each of my instructors personally to find out how I can do well in their classes.
3.I will manage my time wisely so that I can balance my family and studies together.
4.I will attend all of my classes regularly and on time and take full advantage of what they
have to offer.
My goal is to earn a Associate Degree in the Medical Field. Without financial aid
I lack the ability to do this. I am a hardworking student and dedicated Mother and I am very serious
about my education. I have learned a valuable lesson and only ask for a second chance to prove my
dedication.
Please take this letter into consideration and give me another chance to prove myself.
Thank you
